APN stands for…
Access Point Name…
… … …
… Troll don’t really know what an APN is for…
But the settings below should work…
hopefully…
Globe
- Postpaid: internet.globe.com.ph
- Prepaid: http.globe.com.ph
Smart
- Bro Postpaid: smartbro
- Bro Prepaid: smartbro
- Buddy / Gold: internet
Sun
- (static): minternet / Authentication: PAP / IP address: dynamic
- Postpaid (static): fbband / Authentication: PAP / IP address: dynamic
PLDT
- WeRoam (postpaid): WEROAMPLAN
Pro Tip! If you use multiple postpaid and/or prepaid SIM cards in one dongle, make sure to create a “Setting Profile” for each so it’s easier to use APN’s when switching cards (leave all other settings blank or as is, don’t fill out what you don’t understand).

FYI, Sun’s APN ‘minternet’ also works on Smart/Smartbro network. And by experience, you can use smartbro or internet (even minternet) APNs on any of the Smart brands (Smart Bro, Buddy or Gold).

The PLDT-Digitel deal must be the reason behind the APN interchangeability (though the Troll isn’t sure if you can use Smart to Sun).
