Hello Troll! My iPhone 5 was stolen just two nights ago. I've called 4 police districts and have gone to 2 police districts personally last night but unfortunately, they could do nothing to help. I don't want to keep telling myself that my iPhone could still be found but I have a friend who used a trusted app called "iTracker" and found that my iPhone 5 is somewhere missing with someone at Talilong Street Caloocan just an hour after I had lost my phone. And then last night I had him track it again for $3 per tracking and found that my phone is at Marcela (Near Talilong Street.) The thief has my phone off but he/she turns it on sometimes, I know this because I try to call my number every 5 minutes, and if it can't be reached, it would ring, but they wouldn't pick it up.

I was wondering if you know any reliable trackers anywhere in metro manila, I already have the police department's help if the true location is found.

I have all I need for my iPhone to be tracked. My IMEI CODE, My cellphone number, My Serial Number, My proof of ownership, even the plastic from my old sim card when I first bought my sim. All I need is a tracker and someone to track it, as I am financially and persistently willing to get my iPhone 5 back which I have owned for only less than half a year. Please do help me if you can.
...

Hello Tricia! Sorry for the late reply, the site got flooded with comments when its anti-spam system went down. Anyhoo - the Troll hates to be the bearer of bad news here, but the best you can really do is have your phone blocked. "Phone Trackers" are only exact down to a few hundred/thousand meters - meaning you really cant pin point where your phone is (truth be told, tracking services just provide false hope to people) - consequently, even if you know the general area where your phone is, the police will still not search the surrounding neighborhood. :-/ Hope this helps! -Gino

Hi! just want to share my experienced being hold up! my samsung s3 has been stolen last june 4, Tuesday along pasong tamo st., makati city inside the jeep. a holdaper came in and just shown me a double bladed balisong and just got my phone in an instant! still in trauma but my co-workers told me to call NTC since it is brandnew phone. So, I search for NTC contact because its official website is down for no reason. Thank God i got a number and called them. As per the agent who answered, she gave all the requirements for email sender because i can afford to go in person to their quezon city head office. Requirements including the scan copy of affidavit of loss, valid ids and my serial no for IMEI.

Yesterday all requirements are forwarded to ntcospac@yahoo.com and the next day Ive got an email from Mr. Vic Gusto replying on my request and will have to call again after 4days for the follow up or update on my request of blocking my phone. I will wait for this moment to be completely done, it is a small way of revenge for those thief or holdapers! I hope NTC or the big 3 mobile network will conduct a more high technology to locate or block totally those stolen phones and may captured those repair shop who can unblock such application for the benefits of selling stolen phones.

thank you for this blog in helping others in solving their stolen phones. god bless po.

Hello Anne! Thank you so much for sharing your experience here! :-) The Troll hopes that it inspires people to act and have the NTC block their stolen phones! Also, the Troll totally agrees with you - the NTC should crack down on phone shops that do illegal services! Thank you again and keep safe! -Homer

hi! thanks for your informative post.. my 3 month old iphone 5 got stolen at our salon last june 4. i immediately called globe to block my sim and the unit itself.. i gave them my imei and they told me that my phone will be useless and will not open even if the thief will charge it for a long time. i asked them if cellphone repair shops can unlock my phone but they said no repair shop can do that so the phone is really useless.. but i doubt it cause i see a lot of shops offering imei unlocking.. what do you think? should i still report it to ntc? i really want it to be useless to that thief! all i can say is ingat lagi kasi nagpapanggap na customer ang magnanakaw.. kitang kita sa cctv ang pagtakbo nya at pagsakay ng trike.. nahanap namin ang trike na nagsakay, pero sa harisson edsa sya nagpahatid.. it's not a residential place kaya di na talaga namin mahanap.. thank you so much!
...

Hello Jessica, thank you for sharing your experience here! Yes, most thieves really find ingenious ways to steal stuff, and they seem to target places where we feel most safe, in your case, inside a salon. Anyway, no need anymore to have the NTC block your phone - Globe already made this request with them in your behalf. As for the IMEI unblocking, only a very few people can do this - so not to worry so much, although, the Troll will see if it can launch an initiative targeting the NTC and the media to address phone repair people who provide this service, given that it is very illegal and it really promotes theft. Good luck and keep safe! -Jack

Hi Troll, sad to say na hold-up ako last Tues (June 4) along pasong tamo inside a PRC bound jeep. Had to give up my iphone 4s cause tinutukan ako ng balisong sa tagiliran ko. Already reported to Globe that my mobile is stolen. Also reported it sa precinct. A concerned friend told me that pag tinatawagan daw yung line ko, ringing pa rin. So that means the motherf* is using my phone and di man lang pinatay! Can I have a copy of the pdf file of the NTC form? Ayokong magamit pa nya yung phone ko.

And people please stop using your mobile phones pag nasa jeep! Yung lalaki sa tapat ko yung main target nila kasi nag c-cp sya so pag sakay pa lang nila, don natatutok yung balisong. Nadamay pa ko! Argh!

Sometimes kahit nag iingat ka pero yung mga kasama mo sa jeep pabaya, malas lang talaga.

Thank you Troll for this post. It really is helpful and makes us (lalo na yung mga nanakawan or hold-up) feel empowered and that we can do something.
...

Hi Kwin! Greetings! The Troll always says this when these things happen: thank God you are alive and well! This is the big blessing that you have because in absolutely all instances - we should never put our lives in danger for material objects. Its really good that you did not argue with the holdup men, handing them your phone without question was a very good decision. Its just unfortunate that their target was the careless passenger that you rode with - you are right: even if we know that its a no-no to use cellphones while commuting, well, there are still people out there who are careless about these things. Anyway - the Troll will send over the form tomorrow - and yes, instead of getting mad, get even! Good luck! -Anthony

Hi. My S3 was stolen last Friday, thank God I read this thread kasi ngayon ko lang naisip na i-change ang mga passwords ng social network accounts ko.. puede bang wala munang Affidavit of Loss? Huhu, still hoping marecover ko ulit yung phone ko. Are there any devices na nkkpag track ng phone ^_^ Thanks! :)
...
I mean upon submitting requirements for phone blocking to NTC, puede bang ung IMEI na lang muna and ID, puedeng wala munang Affidavit of Loss? Thanks
...

Hello Chel, greetings! The Troll is sorry for your loss - and yes, if you access your email and other social network accounts using your handset, then it would be very very good that you changed all your passwords to them already ;0) In any case - please submit all the requirements needed by the NTC as much as you can. Also, please stop entertaining the thought that you can still track your phone - this is next to impossible. Good luck! -Troll Bukol!

Hello Julie, for the love of reading comprehension, why are you requesting this from the Troll. the post above explains how to have your phone blocked by the NTC, nowhere did the Troll say that it can do this on its own. :-/ Sus. -Larry

Hi, I am not quite sure if my phone is blocked or not. I am using this site to check it but it says my phone is clean, not lost or stolen. http://sndeep.info/en. Data (Edge or 3G) is totally working but the call and text is not. There is Operator logo (smart/globe) but no bar signal. Please help me confirm if my handset is blocked or not. My phone is from Saudi and I am using it here in the Philippines for almost 2 years now without any problem. Maraming salamat sa forum sa to... --Roman
...

Hello Roman, Greetings! First things first: did you file a blocking request with the NTC already? -Joe
...

Ho Joe, Hindi ako nagrequest to block the phone. I am still using it kasi. May signal problem kaya gusto ko malaman kung blocked ba ang status ng IMEI ko sa NTC. I am trying to isolate kung blocked ba sya o may hardware issue lang.. :( Thanks, Roman
...

Hi Roman, Greetings! If the NTC has blocked your phone, then no SIM card from Globe and Smart+Sun will work on it. Its as simple as that. So most likely, you have a hardware problem. Hope this helps! -Joe

Hi. i just have a big question. i lost my phone yesterday in a convenient store and was seen by the cashier; however, a person after us claimed the phone. The phone has the phone lock on and the sim was requested to be blocked already. i cannot get through to ntc's all possible contact numbers foun on different sites for the blocking of the phone. i have all my important details on the phone memory like my log ins and passwords. does anyone know if the phone will be automatically reset if a technician would remove the phone lock? can someone give me the contact number of ntc pls... thank you.
...

Hello Kate, greetings! Yup - the NTC is quite famous for having very unreliable phone services, which is odd, since it is tasked to protect phone related services in our behalf. Anyway, try contacting them via email. There are two, but use the Yahoo one as it is more reliable. Secondly, please reset all your passwords in all your accounts. Do this now. The Troll is not kidding: DO THIS NOW. And yes, even if you have a phone lock code, a handset hacker will still be able to unlock your phone - the troll is just not sure if the data inside the phone will be wipped in the process. Good luck! -PJ

Hi, I lost my samsung S3 yesterday, Is it possible to locate my phone? I might go to NTC to report it and have it blocked. Actually I was trying to locate it through Samsung Dive but unfortunately I can access the site. Also, can you send me the PDF form? Thank you.

Hello Ana, Greetings! First of all - it is next to impossible to locate your phone. There is no app in the world that can facilitate this, even the telcos will be hard put to locate handsets as they can only triangulate on a large area scale (meaning, they can say that the phone is within the Taguig area, but not specifically where). The Troll will send over the form tomorrow, since the NTC site is down, much to the Troll's embarrassment. Good luck! -Roy
